Everything except the post body is what Google and link previews read. It is worth as much care as the article.

Title The headline. 45–65 characters keeps it whole in Google. Meta description Shows under the title in search results and in every link preview. Write it to make someone click, not to summarise. 50–160 characters.

Publish date Sets the filename, never the web address — you can correct it later without breaking a link. Author

Tags Comma separated. Two or three, reused across posts. They are labels on the page, not new URLs.

Cover image URL Optional. Also the link-preview image. Cover image description What it shows, for screen readers and search.

Web address Images Large photos are shrunk automatically before upload, so a picture straight off a phone is fine. Insert drops it into the post where you left the cursor; Cover makes it the post's main image and its link preview.

The post Markdown: ## heading, **bold**, *italic*, [link](/assessment), - bullets, > quote. Start headings at ## — the title is the page's only H1. Pasted HTML shows as text rather than running, on purpose.
